Al Ver Burg began in the field of psychology in 1968. He has
spent most of his lifetime in counseling and lecturing the
material he has developed. Two of the fathers of psychology
who impacted his thinking were Adler and Dreikurs. Then in the
1960’s Doctors Narramore, Schillenberg, and Wagner – of the
Narramore Clinic in Rosemead, California; and Dr. Poling –
of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, South Dakota
took the seeds planted by Adler and Dreikurs and brought them to life.  During these years Al Ver Burg continued studying in several universities until he completed almost 400 hours of higher education in Classics (Greek and Latin), Theology, Educational Psychology and Psychology.  His educational background includes Calvin College, Calvin Seminary, all at Grand Rapids, Michigan; University of South Dakota, Vermillion, South Dakota; Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska; Century University, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Narramore Clinic, Rosemead, California.

He is a highly qualified and experienced counselor and lecturer. He has been in counseling professionally since 1968. He has performed over 25,000 sessions of personal counseling with people from age 3 to 84. People came to his office from 23 states and Western Canada. The seminars have been given many times in eastern Montana, North Dakota, south western Minnesota, South Dakota, western Iowa, eastern Nebraska and once in Anchorage, Alaska. Every place the seminars were given lives were changed. All of his material has been tested over and over again through counseling and lecturing.

Throughout these years he has developed his own system which has been structured into a very comprehensive training program. He has lectured it to thousands of professional and non-professional people – nurses, medical doctors, school teachers, psychologists, pastors, priests, business managers, blue collar workers, and mothers who see their calling to be a full-time mother.
